Goodmorning Terri, (male/24) a bit of a story. Possible exposure around March 25th.Around April 24th I started feeling burning around genitals before wanting to urinate but not while and some random testicle soreness. Frequent urination, but this symptoms would come and go they wouldn’t stay it’s been like till 06/01/23 or so, I was told at a first clinic I went that because I had white blood cells in urine it could possibly herpes but did not get tested since practitioner said I’ll test for a uti instead ?? No sores or any outbreaks all this time just random redness in penis that did would go away with anti fungal cream.
Anyways I ran a blood test on May 15 which came back negative for both ay index value of .23 Hsv-1 and .28 Hsv-2 this around week 7.
Still I wasn’t sure if I should stick with the results since it could have been too early. So I did another one in June 9 which would put me at 11.5 weeks through Labcorp which came back with a negative <.91 but not actual index number was just told it’s under that number. I have been on a few antibiotics, and as of late for the past 4 weeks I been have burning down my left and right leg and right arm which I’m not sure was for high levels of stress and anxiety or my brain just went crazy. Should I move on ? What do you think ? Thank you ! Have a lovely day! -

Anything in your arm has nothing to do with a possible genital herpes infection, for starters.
The symptoms that you describe do not sound like herpes, and at eight weeks out, probably 80% of those who are going to test positive will do so. I think herpes is quite unlikely in your situationTerri

Okay cool! Sorry I made a double post I thought this one didn’t go through!
I was born in Guatemala by the way would that affect the IGG blood test at all?In addition to all this, is it possible the igg test may have missed a GHSv1 infection ?
I finished my last antibiotics yesterday, and today I am having some testicular pain which is odd, I had a ultra sound done and urine check and everything seems fine.
I think I been stressing too much and that might caused me some other issues. I think if it was Hsv I should have gotten some type of visuals since was feeling burning around genitals, would that be correct to assume ?
Is there anything else I should check at this point to see what I could possibly have ? -

Herpes does not cause testicular pain.
The igG test for HSV 1 misses 30% of HSV 1 infections compared to the gold standard western blot.Terri
