Hi Terri, thank you for providing this service and expertise.
Very recently I had an encounter with a new partner. During foreplay I fingered my partner’s vagina and tasted it directly after. She soon told me that she has HPV2 which prompted me to stop because I wanted to educate myself on the condition and transmission a bit better.
She’s been on Valacyclovir daily for a decade. Had HPV most of her life.
What are my chances of getting HPV-2 from fingering her and inserting my finger into my mouth?
She said the chances are extremely remote and it does seem that way from the little I’ve gleaned but I wanted to take my own opportunity to pose the query.
I’ve never had cold sores or anything symptomatic of HPV.
Thanks for your time.
By HPV, I meant HSV… I’m a noob.
I would totally agree that the risk of acquiring HSV 2 from putting your finger in your mouth is so close to zero, I would not worry about it at all.
Terri
