Hi there, I’m a woman who’s scared she has HSV2.
Every now and then when I shave I get a little white bump in the same spot on my vulva, when I squeeze it, it squeezes like a pimple and white pus slowly comes out. This time it happened at the same time of ovulation so my discharge was thick and white. But every time I see any sort of spot on my vagina, I absolutely spiral thinking it’s herpes and cannot sleep at night and worry myself so badly, I’m completely ridden with anxiety. The spots are never sore, they don’t tingle or anything before they come, they don’t burst into ulcers and last at least a week on my vagina, but once I see once I convince myself it’s herpes and feel like my legs tingle. Which I’ve read is a sign of the prodome stage.
Does this sound like herpes? Do herpes blisters last over a week before they turn into uclers? Could it just be a reoccurring pimple from shaving?
I should add – once I do pop them, a few days later a little scab comes up like a pimple on my face and has a bit of a crater look to it once it falls off.
This sounds nothing at all like herpes to me. Herpes does not have white pus in the lesions.
I’m wondering what you’ve done to determine is this is herpes or not? Have you had the lesions swab tested in the past? Have you had IgG antibody testing done?
Terri
Hi there, thanks for your reply. I had something similar a while ago and had it swabbed and it came back negative. But these are two new ones. But yeah I squeezed white pus out of both of them. And they’ve both been there for 10 days now. If it were herpes surely they would have burst and turned into ulcers by now?
I would think so yes, but if you wonder if you have herpes or not, you should have an antibody test.
