I wanted to know if herpes always has a red base or redness around the area. The clear bump I had did not have any recess at all throughout the 3 weeks I had it. By the way my doctor will not order be another test to test at 12 weeks she is making me wait until the full 16 weeks 🙁

Herpes is not always on a reddened base, no. But a blister that stays a blister for three weeks does not sound like herpes to me.

Many people order their own type specific IgG test online without a prescriber’s order. I recommend that people use healthcheckusa.com for this service, if you really want to test earlier than 16 weeks.

Ok does herpes always stay a bump without Any change and then just go away? Or does it always go through some kind of opening process?

Herpes lesions most often go through stages – first a water blister (also called a vesicle), then sometimes some cloudy fluid fills in, then it breaks and it becomes an ulcerated area in the skin, then, on some surfaces it makes a scab and then it falls off.

      Hope that helps you.

Ok mines stayed the same the entire time then just disappeared. Im a little bothered by the bump though because it tingled one time after the bump was already there when I got pee on it and again after I got soap on it soon after I peed it tingled again, but I had been rubbing it a lot prior to that. Then that after noon I got pee on it but it didn’t tingle. Does that sound like herpes?

I also asked my doc again about letting me test next week.

So basically I peed once it tingled and got soap on it once and tingled this all happened in the morning then in the afternoon it didn’t tingle anymore. Sorry I barely realized my previous description was confusing.

I think I understood your previous distinction – it hurt just a little when you peed and it wasn’t a big deal and it was only once, is that correct?
That could or could not be herpes, it does not help me sort this out.

It didn’t hurt at all it just felt like bulb blew popping against the skin no pain at all. Just like light tapping of the skin. What do you think?

Sorry my previous post again was confusing. I never had paid but it felt like light tapping of the skin or how bubbles feel when they pop against your ski but no pain at all.

Oh and I would like to mention I purposely positioned myself forward so pee would get on it. I sat forward because the bump was in the upper pubic lip area.

Your more complete explanation, Star, does not change my opinion. Herpes blisters don’t normally stay blisters for three weeks.
