      Hi Terri,

Since my last neg HSV2 blot I have received oral sex from 14 different male CSW. I am HSV1 pos

During 1 instance I performed less than 10sec of oral and during another instance around 30 sec of oral.

There was also an instance of frottage where the CSW covered my back with massage oil and rubbed their penis between my buttocks and above my butt crack for 45 sec to 1 min.

There is never any penetration or genital to genital touching.

      What are my risk here?
I know there are theoretical risk but are there any real/ practical risk?

Can I still assume negative HSV2 status?

Am I placing my primary partner at risk for HSV2?

If I tested positive would it be fair to assume an oral infection?

Should I just move on or test?

There is no practical risk here at all. If you tested positive, it would likely to oral. I think you should simply move on here.

      Just for my clarification:

      1. There was no real risk.
      2. My HSV2 neg status should be fine(subsequently that of my regular partner based on these events).
      3. No need to conduct another blot.

      Thanks again!

      1. There was no real practical risk.
      That’s correct
      2. My HSV2 neg status should be fine(subsequently that of my regular partner based on these events).
Correct. Unless there is some other contact here than what you told me about, I think there is not a risk of HSV 2 acquisition
      3. No need to conduct another blot.
Correct, if the timing on your first blot was 12 weeks or more since last concerning encounter.

This is my best opinion of your situation

      Terri
