Terri,
We just welcomed our fourth child into the world and all appears to be going well. I do not have any concerns at this point, but wanted to know how long we needed to monitor the baby for possible issues connected to HSV2 that my wife has? The baby will be four weeks old tomorrow and seems to developing right on track.
Sorry forgot details – Vaginal, no outbreaks, on valtrex, HSV2 for 15 years.
Babies current diaper rash has me freaked out even though I know it is a diaper rash!
If your baby was going to become ill due to a herpes infection acquired at birth, it would’ve happened by now. I think you can relax about this
Terri.
