I have contacted you and did a video conference. Long story short, I have a recurring anogenital rash with red bumps and occasional sores. I had one long initial outbreak for 4 months and then gone for two months then back for one month then gone for another two months but after that they have been present 80% of the time. I mark the dates and I have had 25 occurrences during the past year. I had neg igg (quest) and western blot x 2 each with no valtrex for a year prior. I swabbed 5 times with nothing hsv. When I take high dose 1 gram a day valtrex, my symptoms greatly improve. My doctors say that since valtrex helps it must be herpes since it only works on herpes. I just want an answer. Is it possible to get some more swabs?

With two negative western blots, multiple negative swab tests and what you are describing as outbreaks happening sort of endlessly, this is not herpes.
In all good conscience, I cannot send you more swabs.
There is a service call 24/7 lab. they have kits you can use and gather at home. They don’t care if you’ve tested negative for herpes in multiple ways and would be happy to take your money. I just feel you doing more swabs through me is unethical. Your doctor is absolutely wrong.Terri
