Can I give my partner GHSV1 this way?

I have oral HSV1, my partner is negative.

Last night we were playing around and I gave her a kiss on her lower back. The next day I got a cold sore, and I have been worrying myself sick that I may have infected her on her back. Is it possible?

Let’s say she had a cut or scratch on her back, could the virus enter?

Is the skin to thick even if there is a cut or scratch on her back?

It is so unnlikely that she would have a scratch on her back big enough to let virus in IF you happened to be shedding at the time. The skin of the back is very thick and this situation presented very close to zero risk of transmission. I wouldn’t worry about it if I were you.
