› Forums › Herpes Questions › CAn I have hsv2 when we both tested negative?
Unprotected sex 8 1/2 weeks ago. I went to obgyn 8 days later with discharge, they did all std test except for hsv. Doctor put me on bacteria meds a week later when tests and cultures came back, they said it was yeast (everything else was negative),and put me on meds for that. By this time my stress and anxiety has kicked in wondering what else cAn I have. I was only sleeping 1-2 hours a night and forcing myself to eat.(lost 10 lbs) Feeling nauseous fatigued and started having a stinging pain on the left side of my vagina (between inner labia and inside vagina). I also went to a walk in clinic my nasal drip got worst and I have a really bad sore throat (anxiety?) I did give him oral. Doctor swapped no strep no nothing put me on antibiotics for 10 days. Didn’t help. Still have the symptoms going to ENT next week. Went back to obgyn at 6 weeks after the encounter and got retested and throats swapped – all negative. Went to PC at 7 weeks got tested for hsv2 and throats swapped again – All negative – thank God. Also went back to OBGYN for the stinging he found a “pimple” it popped so he swabbed it sent it in for herpes test- Came back Negative!!
My doctors said I’m fine that my anxiety and guilt (wedding on 2weeks) are making me sick. I should move on and take it as lesson learned.
BTW I paid for the man I had sex with to get tested at 6 weeks and all his was also negative including hsv1 and hsv2 (igg)
Stinging has calmed down still there thou.
And I also started birth control pill 3 weeks after the sex.
I am constipapted and super anxious and feeling guilty.
Should I retest???
9 week test accurate???
Also cramping not sure if it’s the pill, stress or constpation, or if I have something else.
Please help
