3 days ago I started getting horrible burning and pain above my clitorius it is no where else in or on my vagina , n the past 7 years I’ve only been with 3 men one my ex husband of 5 years and then nobody for a year , then one man one time 9 months ago and now only my boyfriend for past 6 mos , I’ve had no flu like symptoms no fever no itching , II do shave my vagina daily , use douche one a week and have started using a new vaginal wash , my boyfriend is very into oral sex with me and sometime he will do it for 20-30 mins and we have sex almost daily for past 6 mos , well anyway went to a minor care cause it hurt so bad and doc said he saw 3 separate lesions not clustered but seperate and said he’s leaning towards herpes cause of what lesions loom like , be did swab but results wobt b back till Mon. I’m so scared and nervous, I’d like some possible answers now , as for I can’t go unexplained for 4 days , unless it’s laid dormant for over 7 years , cause I know my ex does not have them and my one night stand recently contacted me wanting to hook up , but I declined so I wouldn’t think if he had them hed have nerve to contact me after 7mos , is it possible to have had them that long with no outbreak or is it highly that I contracted them from current boyfriend , or could it possibly be something else , like infection from cutting myself while shaving or shaving to often and getting infection , please help ease my mind d if chances are good that it could very well b herpes just from a doc saying it really looks like them , or if it could b something else , thank u I look forward to hearing back from u as soon as possible

Sorry for the late response – I am in a place that was supposed to have wifi but doesn’t – now in a place that does for today.
I’m afraid that I cannot ease your mind on this one. Three separate lesions that the doc think looks like herpes that are painful is concerning to me as I know it is to you. Have you ever in your life had a cold sore on your lip? Has your current partner? Have you had herpes antibody testing in the past? Has your current partner? You may wish to consider having an IgG type specific antibody test for HSV 1 and 2 done now. You can do it over the internet without a clinician order. Let’s wait and see what the testing shows but here is something very important to remember – when the results come back, you need to be CERTAIN that typing was done, just not just positive or negative.
I will say the fact that you are shaving everyday, though I know it is common now, does open the hair follicles a bit for this and other viruses to enter. You may wish to consider close clipping of the pubic hair as an alternative.
Let me know the results, OK?

No I’ve never had a cold sore and as long as I’ve been with him niether has he, I’ve been on acyclivir for 4 days now 200mgs 5 times a day and I’ve no relief what so ever , actually feels to be getting worse not so much more blisters but more burning and way more icthing and itching is spreading to outside of vagina , if this is herpes and my first outbreak how possible is it that I contracted it from current boyfriend of 7 mos , since I only had been with husband for 5 years prior and one other man one time back in jan , whether he has it and did not tell me or don’t know he has it , I know his ex cheated on him a lot , and there had been several occasions where hes gotten a fever and flu like symptoms that lasted only a day or two then gone away , that he acted as if he didn’t know what was going on whether he really knew or not , anyway 2 basic questions should be the medicine helped by now and how likely is it that I was infected by him , everything I’ve read said first outbreak 2-30 days after intial co tact with infected parterner . thank u once again

You should be getting your test results today, right? Please let me know. Your dose of acyclovir is CDC approved, but in my experience, people need quite a bit more to have great success. You could also consider 400 mg three times a day. Have you had herpes antibody testing done as well as a swab test? Has your current partner had an antibody test?
Blisters on the labia do not really crust with herpes, they just make an ulcer and fill in.It is also possible of course that this is not herpes but rather some other kind of irritation altogether.
Keep me posted on the results please.
