I have a newborn child (2 weeks). While changing him, I had to remove my shirt. I felt his mouth graze my chest, near my arm pit.
The problem is, I have had an outbreak there before. It’s been 5 years. But I I’m actually feeling a tingle by my collar bone.
I take 200mg 3 times a day, recently upped my Derm as a precaution, as my primary infection was whitlow on a finger, where I have about 1 OB a year.
My question is, should I be scared the baby’s mouth grazed my chest, close to where I’m feeling a tingle?
Bump 🙂
No, you should NOT be worried at all about this. The chest, if you had herpes there, has thick skin so virus is not shed from this area without an outbreak.
