Hi Terri,
My story goes like this: 7/11-7/12 had protected drunk sex. I do not remember him disposing the condom after in my memory he just laid down.
Following days felt fine. Then, I started feeling body aches & itch around 7/19. I shaved 7/16 & broke out completely all over vagina area whitehead looking went away next day. Itch and discharge remained similar to BV symptoms so I took BV medication and it subsided, but discharge stayed which was very milky white.
I decided to get tested 8/1 full panel wasn’t worried when I did at all & just did it for whatever just because.
8/3 casually checking results & BOOM an index HSV-2 IGG 1.85H. I started taking note of my daily struggles.
8/19: body pricks/ stabbing started. Alleviated with peppermint oil. Had two bumps on groin/ panty line area looked grayish not like water drops which stung/ itched @ random. Treated with acne meds turned red and flattened quick yet, stayed present, turned red for 4 days after treatment. Then scabbed.
8/28: body aches & pricks still present felt 3 bad ones in butt 10 rate like an electrical shock.
8/29: sensitive labia treated with monostat no rash was present, but felt like rash would come monostat got rid of feeling.
8/31: planned parenthood visit for a bump inside vagina hole no pain and vagina texture & appearance change. Specialist says looks fine.
9/3: groin pain starts. 9/4: body pricks & lower back pain. Yeast like discharge didn’t feel like yeast infection treated anyways.
To date: spine/ back pain hurt 7 scale, tingling in feet got worse. Body pricks still happening. Scheduled PAP. No blister like lesions. Groin area aching & where bumps were I feel random stinging, but nothing present. I am acne prone.
Man is very promiscuous. I have come to terms that this may be true positive waiting to get definite answers before I tell him he infected me. I know it was him because my last sexual encounter was 6mo ago and I never felt a thing until sleeping with man

The lesions that you describe sound far more like yeast than herpes, due to the duration and positive response to yeast medication.
I would advise that you wait 12 weeks from the encounter and retest. If positive again at the low positive level, like where you are now, get a western blot for confirmation.

Hi Terri, my 12 week mark was 10/03. My results came in today 2.15. Any advice and what are my next steps?
To date: no lesions, tingling feet, back pin, achy lower extremities, mild pins & needles.

Yes, the advice is that you need a western blot, per the CDC recommendation to confirm anyone who has an index value lower than 3.0. My personal cutoff would be far closer to 5 as I have seen so many false positive in this range.

Hi Terri,
I have scheduled a video consult with you 10/11 and I have the western blot on hand. Ready whenever you are.
