Hi Terri it’s been awhile been felling better still have a few concerns . I have had symptoms like discharge and itching but no lesions for the past 5 months took antiviral for 2 weeks no difference took medication for bv symptoms went away for about 3 weeks now have returned I don’t know if this is an outbreak or my bv has returned. Symptoms are everyday. Do outbreaks last this long. I’m dealing with hsv2 everyday I’m getting better I’m just wondering if something else is going on my body itches constantly so do my fingers once in a while my question is I have had 2 negative HIV tests in the past 2 years does that mean I am in the clear for that? I’m really worried I have something else . I don’t know the testing periods for HIV but 2 negatives so far. Also since my fingers itch I’m worried about whitlow I did get a manicure awhile ago I believe I was cut it’s been little sore and red around the bottom of my nail . Since I found out 5 months ago about my Hsv I don’t touch myself down there I’m afraid to even wash in the shower I just let soap and water drip down to clean it . When I use the restroom I make sure there is plenty of toilet paper between my hand and vagina . Anyway no blisters or anything on my hands just itch once in a while like my body . How easy is it to get Whitlow? And if I did have it would I have gotten blisters by now or can u shed and not even know it . Thank u for your time trying to do better with this . Given that you have HSV 2 already (I’m assuming you do), it is extremely unlikely you would get this in any new location on your body. So don’t worry about touching your genitals or washing in the shower – at all! Unless you got herpes whitlow with the first genital infection, I’m not worried about you getting it now. Is it possible? Maybe. Is it likely? Certainly NOT!!!
