Hello,
Me and my significant other (two women) had oral sex over a weekend period. Partner 1 was the receiver of oral sex and partner 2 was of course the giver. Partner 1 was assumed to be STD free and partner 2 is positive for HSV 1 and 2 (confirmed by igg previously). Approximately 18 days after the weekend they spent together, partner 1 tested negative for HSV 1 and positive for HSV 2 at a value of 5. Partner 1 says she has no symptoms. Both women were on the start of a menstrual cycle during the weekend spent together. The only sex was oral sex that was given to partner 1 by partner 2. Now my questions are:
1. How likely is it that partner 2 gave partner 1 HSV2 during that weekend being that 1’s value was a 5? Could it be a previous infection from another person, as partner 1 did have sex with another woman 5 months prior to weekend with partner 2.
2. If both women have HSV 2 genitally now, is it safe to have oral sex, or can it be passed to the mouth?
3. How likely is it that partner 2 could have given partner 1 HSV2 by hand stimulation?
4. Should partner 2 be on suppressive therapy as to not give partner 1 HSV1?
Thanks so much for helping and all that you do on the forum. I’ve been reading over all the questions and answers and I haven’t quite found one that I felt gave me an answer to my questions. Thanks again for your time.
5. Also are you prescribing medicine for suppressive therapy?

This is not a new infection from this encounter.

It is now safe, yes, if both partners have genital HSV 2.
3. How likely is it that partner 2 could have given partner 1 HSV2 by hand stimulation
Almost zero chance
4. Should partner 2 be on suppressive therapy as to not give partner 1 HSV1?
Once someone has HSV 1 is it extremely unlikely that they will subsequently acquire HSV 1Thanks so much for helping and all that you do on the forum. Not any more.

Hello again, I’m not sure we we pay per 3 posts or one post with three questions. I just paid for another round of questions. I’m just still trying to get a little knowledge on how this condition usually behaves.
If I have a Genital hsv2 outbreak and give Someone oral sex , is it possible to pass that HSV2 to them?
I gave my gf ( I’m female) oral sex on March 17,18, and 19th. She didn’t say anything about lesions or bumps. However she did say she had a bruise on her thigh about 3 days later which I assumed was from rough play. About a week later she told me she was fatigued, and generally just not feeling well. I do know she has low iron so I also figured that was the issues.
3. After she told me her symptoms I told her to go get checked for HSV1, I figured I may have given her that of course I was hoping not. On April 4, she went and got a full panel std test and her results came back positive for HSV2 with a value of 5 and <.91 for HSV1.
I never would have thought I could have given her HSV2 being that I have it genitally and she’s never had any contact with that part of my body.
I know I’ve asked before but I just want to kind of be sure that it wasn’t me who passed this to her. Is it possible that she has a great immune system and that accounts for her high number so soon?
I have symptoms of HSV 2 fairly regularly and am going on suppressive therapy. I ask all the time if she’s noticed any changes since she found out and she hasn’t. Do you think this is a new infection or something old? -

Also, as I’m tginking back I remember having what I thought was a bug bite on my thigh. Is it possible that I scratched my thigh and touched her privates and gave it to her that way?

no
And I doubt that this is new infection for her. And you didn’t give it to her via your thigh either.
