Do lesions go away without scaring?

Thank you for your prompt response to my first Q. Of the 3 possible causes you indicated, one (kissing) has been eliminated.

In answer to your question on my last post: No, I have never had, nor do I currently have, lesions on my penis, thigh or buttocks. As for my abdomen, maybe. I’ve had shingles and it manifested itself around my waist band and abdomen. This was 10+ years ago. However, nothing that would lead me to believe it was HSV. So, maybe yes, maybe no.

I think I have another Q coming. If not, I’ll buy another round of Qs. Here it is: When lesions present, what is the best thing to do to make them go away more quickly and lessening the chance of shedding. Alcohol swabs?
