Does genital herpes shed orally?

Hi,

I have genital herpes but gave my boyfriend oral sex. He wouldn’t get genital herpes from that would he? Having genital herpes doesn’t mean it’s in my saliva does it?

Also, since I have hsv 2, what if my boyfriend was grabbing my bare butt and slid his finger a little close to my anus? Would he get herpes whitlow from that? There was no outbreak present.

If you have genital herpes and not oral herpes then giving oral sex to your boyfriend would not transmit your genital herpes. Him grabbing your bare butt and sliding his finger a little close to your anus would not transmit herpes to him. That is not the right kind of contact that would spread this infection. you do not need to worry about this
