Equivocal IGG Results

Terri,
Im a bit anxious about a couple of results I received recently for HSV 2.

History
Last unprotected sex was about Jul 15,2022. Fairly low risk partner IMO.
Had protected sex about week later. That was last sexual contact

I then took a full STD panel through QWEST labs on Aug 10
THe results were clear otherwise but came back .98 Equivocal for HSV 2

I repeated as per the testing instructions on Sep 16 and received 1.03 equivocal.

This has my anxiety spiked high that I might be positive for HSV 2 which would be very devastating.

I suspect you will suggest Western Blot, and I have plan to do so. But what are the actual odds of me being positive in this profile? I know you cant put a number to it. But this is tearing out my guts to say the least.

I have only had one person who tested with the western blot that had an equivocal result on the IgG that was positive on the blot. One. That’s pretty damn good odds, I think.
