Hey terry I spoke to you not too long ago, just want to see what you think about this. I had a sex with a HSV+ female once(unprotected) Its been about 40 days I haven’t had any solid symptoms besides tingling in penis but no lesions or blisters. In the first 2 weeks I has a bump what look like a in grown hair, i pulled a hair from it, it and it was gone in 2 days. But just recently I found a bump on my scrotum. I popped it and blood and pus came out. I pulled a hair from it as well that had pus at the tip. What are the odd of this being HSV2? I seen you say tingles without lesions are often times a Negative WB, what are the chances that the “tingles” are psychosomatic?
Neither of these presentations sound herpetic to me. When the only symptoms are tingles, most often the western blot is negative. tingles are just so non-specific, they just cannot be relied upon to be accurate. Also herpes rarely presents on the scrotum
Terri
