Hello Terri,
Thank you for the work you do and all the information you provide on this forum.A few months back I made a huge mistake while getting a massage when I became aroused and the masseuse offered to continue topless. From there things escalated. I rubbed her through her panties never touched genitals. Maybe touched her butt and breast. I did not see any visual sores. She then rubbed herself under her panties for 30 seconds. She then continued to massage my feet and legs for another 10 to 15 minutes prior to giving me a handjob with lotion. After this I showed and cleaned myself off. Due to this I am extremely concerned about HSV2 exposure. I am very worried I will bring it home and pass it to my partner and our two young children. Due to this event any change in skin or discomfort in the boxer region I cannot stop worrying about. I had a red mark on my penis and went to the doctor. He told me it was likely contact dermatitis and that herpes presents with blisters or ulcers and is painful. He did not believe it needed stabbing. I have always been very catious and practiced safe sex so this has me pretty shaken. Due to this scenario here are a few questions I would like your guidance on.
1. Did this exposure pose a risk for infecting me with HSV2?
2. Due think my doctor is correct about herpes sores having blisters and would be very painful with an active OB?
3. I was previously negative to HSV1 & 2. Do you think I should test again after this?
4. If I have not shown symptoms since would I be over reacting that I am asymptomatic and shedding the virus?
5. I am worried I will pass it to my partner and her or I will indirectly pass it to our children during bath time (washing them) or while helping them in the bathroom (wiping or potty training). Is this completely not a risk?
6. Can you clarify where men & women shed the virus asymptomaticlly without sores?Thank you again!

It did NOT2. Due think my doctor is correct about herpes sores having blisters and would be very painful with an active OB?
Most people who contract herpes do have sores at some point and they are usually at least tender3. I was previously negative to HSV1 & 2. Do you think I should test again after this?
NO4. If I have not shown symptoms since would I be over reacting that I am asymptomatic and shedding the virus?
Yes, I believe that would definitely be an over reaction5. I am worried I will pass it to my partner and her or I will indirectly pass it to our children during bath time (washing them) or while helping them in the bathroom (wiping or potty training). Is this completely not a risk?
It is completely not a risk.6. Can you clarify where men & women shed the virus asymptomaticlly without sores?
Men shed virus from the penis and anus, women shed from the labia, vagina and anusTerri
