I’ve recently gotten diagnosed with HPV2
I just wanted to know if my IGM levels and IGG levels can indicate a false positive or if it is too soon to tell
My last contact was a month and 2 weeks
From the date that I was diagnosed , I’ve had no symptoms and been very stressed lately ,
My HSV 1 IGG levels were 0.16
IGM 0.23
My HSV2 glycoprotein G AB IGG levels were 1.12 H
The doctor wasn’t there when I was given the results and it was almost as if I was rushed out , they didn’t ask any questions and gave me medication to take for 7 days 3 pills a day .
Do u think I should get retested by WB? I have a appointment with my primary doctor at NYU in about 2 days , because where I went to get tested originally at was a clinic . Please help -

Your low positive most definitely needs confirmation with a western blot.l I would be surprised if you are actually positive. You will need to wait 12 weeks from any concerning contact, but if both people test negative, then you can go ahead and test – and we can expect a negative.
