Hi Terri,
I am sending this message because I recently received the news that I have hsv-1. However, I’ve been very skeptical of the result. The results said I had: HSV-1 an iGg of 2.08 and HSV-2 an iGg of 0.37. Do you believe this could be a false positive? Do you recommend I get retested ?
I forgot to say on my last forum I have never had any cold sores or anything. I have had fever blisters/ ulcers in the inside of my mouth. I’m not sure if that could be the cause of hsv-1 or my gastritis.
Please let me know when you have a chance !
Sometimes HSV 1 recurs in the mouth but usually it is external. it is possible that the HSV 1 is a false positive – I would say there is probably a 65% chance it is a true positive. HSV 1 would not cause gastritis.
