Hi Terri,
I’m interested in getting body sculpting treatment done on my stomach area but I’ve read that Coolscuplting and Fat Cavitation treatments can trigger outbreaks. If you’re not familiar, Fat Cavitation uses radio technology waves to break down the body fat. Is it true that fat freezing machines trigger outbreaks? Or is that more likely to happen if you get treatment done in the areas where you have outbreaks (like face or genital area)? I’ve never experienced an outbreak but I have tested positive for HSV 1 so I know it’s possible. Just want to know if this is true.

I don’t honestly know if that procedure triggers outbreaks or not, I do know various kinds of surgeries – back surgeries, facial plastic surgeries – can trigger outbreaks. If you don’t know the location of your infection, I would suggest that you consider suppressive therapy for five days before and five days after the treatment. What do you think?
