Going on 20 months since possible exposure. Seem to have continued groin and rectal pain. Periodic rectal blood still. Have not had many days without some sort of feeling or discomfort.
Have completed all blood work at 18 weeks for sti all negative. And also had prostate and scope completed.
Question is there something sti wise that could cause this prolonged pain irritation?

I should add I have had a white tongue pretty consistent over that time grain as well

I am assuming you’ve tested for the routine STI? gonorrhea, chlamydia? If those are negative I can’t think of an STI that would be causing these symptoms.

Has been frustrating, the number of test I have completed and seems to be no answer.
Full sti panel at 8 weeks after, 12 weeks igg test and igg at 16 weeks. Colonoscopy and mri on adrenal gland that showed growth but not cancerous.

This sounds very frustrating for you, I’m so sorry the professionals you see cannot find a cause. I doubt that it is an STI nor herpes.

Thanks so much Terry
I just thought I would attach my previous timeline
I posted earlier but made multiple additions so I think it got bumped. I am a male 41 had possible exposure with unknown female.

Jan 3-13 500 mg Valtrex per day
Jan 17 visited doctor asked for herpes test. He sent me for blood and urine full panel
Since that time went to urologist gave me medication to deal with prostatitis not that I had it but said clear the system if any issue. Mri, ct scan
Looked back on my blood test my lymphocytes where about 2% low and monocytes where 2 % high.

I just don’t see anything concerning there in your summary (and thank you for that). It is very good news that your colonoscopy was normal. I think this is really not a sexual health issue.

Was sent for a number of more tests. Only thing I noticed was my alt test came back at 84 raised over normal.
I have come to the understanding that there is something wrong. Just haven’t found it yet. Daily pain but no answers.
Just sending as info only and to thank you for fielding my questions. It was much appreciated. Thanks for what you do !

Your very slightly elevated ALT has nothing to do with herpes. If you continue to worry about HSV 2 and can’t take it off your worry list as a source of your pain, you could do the western blot to be sure. I’m sorry I don’t have any great ideas for you!
