Hey Terrie, I am just once more reaching out to you. This has been quite stressful for me the past couple of days. On Valentine’s Day, my wife had oral sex with me. The whole encounter maybe lasted 20 seconds. Afterwards, I seen something on her lip and asked if it was a cold sore, to which she stated, yes. However, she did state that she had already had it for like 8 days, it was scabbed over and bleeding. I immediately freaked out, naturally. I actually got quite upset actually, which I shouldn’t have. Now, I have had oral hsv-1 for many years. Is there any chance, I might not get this genitally? We are praying for a miracle. However, I have read some have one outbreak and never have one ever again. Regardless, I don’t want it. I just want some sign of hope, and ask if you have ever heard of a situation like this in which an individual did participate in oral sex with someone who had a cold sore, and they never actually got genital hsv-1. So far it has been two days and nothing, but I’m still hyperaware. I have read that if you have had it orally for a long time, it’s harder to transfer to genitals. But, what do I know? Please, I would love to hear what you think about this, Terri.
I think you don’t need to worry about this. By now, if you were going to have something on your penis, you likely would. Do you have anything?
Terri
