Just diagnosed with GHSV1 via swab culture. 3 related questions on transmission..
1. I had sex with one partner 22 days before outbreak. He briefly performed oral sex. I had sex with another partner 1 week before outbreak but no oral sex. All unprotected. Which partner is it more likely from? Neither has or ever had any symptoms.
2. In absence of an outbreak, how likely is it to spread GHSV-1 sexually going forward? I plan to get on medicine asap.
3. What are the chances I also have oral HSV1 from kissing the same person? (No symptoms at this point)

Well, that’s assuming that you’ve never had anyone give you oral sex prior to this outbreak. If you have only received oral sex from one person in your lifetime, that one is the source. Otherwise, its not possible to know. And 22 days out from an encounter is way out of the norm for timing of a first outbreak.

Unlikely for sure

Also unlikely but you could have.
