Hello,
I’ve had genital hsv2 since 2011. I get outbreaks far in between. Recently, I gave oral to uninfected male without disclosing first. I’ve been reading it’s not common for the virus to spread that way but it still can through mucus? Did I put this person in harms way? Should I be disclosing before giving oral even with Ghsv2? I also have a bad habit of biting the inside of my cheek could that make it easier to spread, too?
Thank you.
There is no need to disclose your genital infection when giving oral sex. No.
Terri
Thank you Terri
Terri,
The person ended up getting a test on Wednesday, June 14. Our hookup was sometime around May 23 or May 24. His levels read:
HSV 1 IgG: 1.12
HSV 2 IgG: 1.25
Could this be a false positive?
It could absolutely be a false positive – 85% chance that it is. And if he got it, it’s not from you giving him oral sex.
Terri
Thank you!
You are most welcome
