I have been experiencing symptoms since Nov/Ded 2020.,.they have been diagnosed multiple times as diagnosis other than hsv but I know that it is hsv. My igg test have been negative but I continue to have symptoms of pain without sores in my groin area which on multiple occasions have included pain and tenderness to touch and without touching in my groin and my scrotum, burning when I urine, swelling of the penis, swelling of the scrotum. Why have the type of symptoms I’ve listed not been documented just because they aren’t accompanied by sores?

That’s like asking me why I’m told I don’t have diabetes when my blood sugar is normal. Sores are characteristic of herpes and though you may have other symptoms, you don’t have symptoms consistent with herpes AND you have negative IgG tests. pain and tenderness to the touch of the groin and scrotum is not a symptom of herpes not is swelling of the penis or scrotum. Burning when you pee is much more likely to be caused by a bacterial infection than herpes. If you really want to know about your HSV status, get a western blot

I have pain when I touch my left or right testicle, pain underneath my testicles(perineum), my entire groin area is achy. No symptoms or signs or visible sores. The first time it happened 2 years ago I was diagnosed with Epididymitis. I recently had another episode and my urologist ordered an ultrasound and nothing was seen on the ultrasound. The Epididymis didn’t even look inflamed but I saw an article on a site that says this pain can be associated with internal hsv. Have you heard of internal hsv inside the testicles of males that give symptoms of epididymitis? Do you think my negative hsv results are from testing at the wrong time even tho I’ve had 4 reoccurrences of this feeling in my testicles and it’s been 2 years since the first and I recently tested again? I’m just very concerned and it seems like I can’t find any answers to this problem.

I seriously doubt that internal testicular pain is caused by HSV and if it did, it would likely be intermittent rather than constant. I’m very skeptical that with a negative test and this symptom that is being cause by HSV

Do you have male patients that complain of these symptoms that have genital hsv? If so what is the time frame of how long the symptoms last that would inflame the Epididymitis? This is my 4th time and it’s been 2 1/2 weeks and I have no relief. My ultrasound from today shows a hydrocele and the pain is radiating from my left testicle to my right testicle and the perineum.

I don’t see that in my patients, no. You should be following up closely with a urologist.
