Hi and thanks for help! 2 months and a half ago I was exposed to HSV2 had some UTI/STD symptoms following day of exposure, but no pain during urination, no discharge, no sores or blisters and symptoms totally resolved in 9 days. At 20 days post exposure had pcr swab of urethra, semen and urine (no sores) that came negative, at 1 month igg negative value 0.159 and at 2 month igg negative values 0.156 (igg stable) Should I move on or wait and retest next month!
I would say it is very likely that you are not infected. We ask that people wait 12 weeks to do the western blot and you waiting another month to retest is fine, though I suspect it will also be negative. I would have expected some increase over these 8 weeks if you were infected. However, the IgG test misses 8% of HSV 2 infections compared to the western blot
