Hi terri , i have done a full std screeing on 2019 everything showed negative except HSV 1 Igm positive, i repeated the test in 2020 and everything came back negative HSV 1 and 2 IGM and IGG ( i wasnt having symptoms).
Then this year in 19 june i had a contact with someone ( mutual mustrbation and hand use to genitals with no direct genital- genital contact , but hands was touching both partners genitals.
After 7 days i notice 3 separated pimples on my pubic area ( i am male ) one was like open and the second was having a little blood and hair coming out of it and the third one was kind off something that leak pus or yellow fluid f when I squeezed it nothing was painful of all these. I applied FUICIDN CREAM to them and removed the hair of the pimples area and they crusted and gone within around a 1 week or so but after that i kept getting pimples and all these weired things with hair in middle for 3 months
I did a Full std test And everything showed negative except HSV 1 IGM positive, i took 1 week course or valtrex 1000 Mg x2 a day ( in middle of August )
After 11 weeks ( beginning of September ) of the exposure i did an IGG test for HSV and showed
HSV 1 igg : 0.09
HSV 2: IGG : 0.07 ,I was shocked , could the one week valtrex stopped antibody development? Or these symptoms weren’t even herpes because in 2019 MY hsv 1 Igg was :0.12 and now its 0.09 , what really confused me that through this time i did a urine culture PCR and the results was saying :
PRESUMPTIVE POSITIVE ONE OF MULTIPLE GENES IS DETECTED LOW VIRAL LOAD POSSIBLE PLEASE REPEAT AFTER 96 hours, i repeated the urine test and everything showed back negative.
Now i am really confused and i feel like am lost if do have or dont have herpes , and why my IGM showed positive in 2019 and again in 2022 but never IGG , could i be one of those people who nevertheless develop IGG ?
Also i am from UAE and it’s very difficult to do. A western blot test unless i travel to USA or close country

I doubt that you have HSV 2. Urine PCR is not done in the US and I would be very unlikely to believe that you have HSV 2 with nothing on your IgG test. You could repeat the IgG once more to be more certain but your contact was not a risk and you symptoms sound more like folliculitis than herpes to me.
The IgM had a terrible record of false positives and the CDC in the US recommends against it’s use – ever.Terri
