In mid February I fingered a woman for a few minutes. I don’t think I had noticeable cuts on my fingers. Afterwards she sucked on my finger for a few minutes. Then I rinsed my fingers in tap water, no soap. I don’t believe I touched my penis for at least 3 hours after the encounter. As far as I know she has never had an outbreak of any kind.
I am currently having sores in my inguinal crease, close to the scrotum but not on it. It started last week after walking a few miles in the heat. Thought it was heat rash. This week I did the same walk and the next day it seemed to be worse. I do feel a tingling sensation in my testicles and it’s fairly uncomfortable feeling.
Could I have contracted hsv-2 from her this way if she was asymptomatic but shedding?

I absolutely do not think you acquired HSV two in this way. Certainly not

Thank you for your response, Terri! I was wondering if it was possible to have had hsv2 for over a decade without an outbreak (that I know of) then have an outbreak 12 years later?
Also, so you think the situation I mentioned above could have lead to any sti transmission?
I have had every bacterial test I can find and it’s all negative. But the left side of the glans of my penis always feel so sensitive, it’ll go away for a few days/weeks then come back and stick around for a while.
Thank you!

Also, I think in February a few days after I touched her I was feeling ill. Sore back/muscles, sore throat. Not sure if that means anything though, I could have just been sick
Thank you

It is possible to have HSV 2 for decades and not know it, yes. and then have an outbreak. Were the sores positive for HSV 2 by swab?
I don’t think this situation presents any risk for HSV 2 no. Any sickness around this time shouldn’t have anything to do with this encounter, no. But if you kissed her, there could certainly be transmission of germsTerri

The doctor looked at them and said they were yeast/fungal infection. They told me to use monistat for a few days and it would get better. It seemed to have worked for the most part, just some residual itching until about a week after I started treatment for that. They did not swab it. I still have an odd buzzing feeling in my scrotum and left side of my penis, sometimes in the butt. I have a feeling it has more to do with anxiety/pelvic floor dysfunction than an infection at this point. As it has been coming and going for several months now. Even if they were prodrome symptoms they wouldn’t last for over five days with no changes correct?
Thank you for your advice, Terri!
