It started as a tingling feeling 6 days ago, the it started itching between area of anus and scrotum sack. Then I thought it was Jock itch and initially experimenting with different home remedies from online. I.E. I tried to rub honey, Lotriman AF, Collidal silver, some athletes foot spray but it just got worse.
It started between anus and scrotum and was itching/tingling then made its way to my scrotum and then turned raw/open sores. Then, the next following days, the scrotum turned bright red with many open sores it seems like (see pictures). Still tingling and very uncomfortable.
I do have a history of cold sores, not sure if HSV 1 or 2. But had a primary outbreak in 2020. Never had a recurrent outbreak in the genital area, only on lips. Doctor could tell by visual inspection and the recurrent typical cold sores.
Now I’ve been rubbing a silver nano particle gel which seems to be helping very much and I took two valtrex to be safe and it seems to be clearing up. I know I should get it swabbed but could this be herpes or fungal? I thought it was fungal but it didn’t start clearing up until I put the silver gel and took a valtrex. Albeit, I stopped applying the fungal gel in replace for the silver jel.
It’s getting better now but it was very bad. I did have a pimple or hair bull there May 8th, this just started manisfesting May 22nd.
Sexually active with same 2-3 partners for past year.
If this helps just for a visual relative to my description.

You need to remove these photos immediately. We don’t allow photos on this website.
I’m very sorry that you chose not to get these areas swab tested. I can’t tell what this is but you should consider an antibody test to determine your infection status. If you have this happen again, please be certain to have these swab tested right away.Terri

Hello, sorry I did not realize the no photo policy as I posted out of anxiety really fast once I heard this existed. My apologies.
I tried to get it swabbed but by time my appointment, it was cleared.
I also have cold sores.
I guess my question was regarding if me explaining my situation was aligned with what you’ve seen in the past for herpes on a males Scrotum/perineum area. I think this is my last reply I paid for. Still trying to navigate the site.
Once again, sorry for the photos. How do I delete them?

Open sores anywhere in the genital area concern me, of course, for herpes as a possibility. are you sure you didn’t scratch open sores due to the itching? My recommendation would be to get an IgG test for HSV 2. Have your partners been tested for HSV 2, do you know?
Not sure if the Valtrex made a difference or other things, but I see why you would be concerned. If you can find out the HSV 2 antibody status of your partner(s), that would be very useful. If all are negative, then you likely don’t need to worry.
