› Forums › Herpes Questions › Herpes Risk From Frotting?
Hello,
Exactly 7 weeks ago from yesterday I explored my sexuality and got onto Grindr. The guy I met claimed that he was STD free and only wanted to jerk each other and frot. I should have done more research that the frotting is a risk of herpes. Once I got home I started looking up the risks and discovered that this is a risk of HSV. He had no open sores or anything abnormal on his penis but as I now know that this can be spread without any lessons or anything. I tested with an IGG last week on exactly 6 weeks with an IGG test. My results were both at .09 for HSV1/2, and it started to calm me down since the STDcheck I used claims to be 99% accurate at 6 weeks. As I did further research I learned that this may not be the case. I am autoimmune compromised as I have T1 diabetes, so with a crappy autoimmune disease I was certain that it would show then. I didn’t have any symptoms or anything besides constant worry at first. I think that I am starting to convince myself that I have it and making me constantly look at my penis several times a day and find any abnormality. I am in the process of getting back with my ex gf and she is aware what I did. I do not think I have HSV, but do you think it is needs to be retested at the 12 week mark as its recommended?
Thank you!
I have also noticed that I have a red line in between my testicles and thigh. It’s a tad bit itchy but I do not see any bumps on it. My testicles look little like they are shiny with tiny bumps on them but looks like nothing inside of them. I’m not sure. They aren’t really itchy. Today makes it 7 weeks.
I went to the doctor. It turns out it was chaffing from my underwear since it was in a perfect line that caused two little cures in the perfect line. They told me I shouldnt need to be tested again since my HSV rates were only .09 for both. So I’m going to put an ease to my mind.
I think herpes in your situation is highly, highly unlikely Your symptoms don’t sound herpetic to me and the risk of frottage to start with is low anyway. I’m glad you were able to be seen in person – that makes things a lot clearer.
