      Hi Terri
I hope you are doing well.
      Timeline below
      April 16 Unprotected Sex
      Vaginal and Oral
      Day 5
GP gave me a prevent one-shot and two pills for Gono and Chlam. My Penis was a bit red, and I prescribed antibiotic ointment.
I had some red spots on the head and added the cream, but it burned, so I decided to Stop.
      Day 7
I did not like a red spot in my shaft. I had to zoom in to see something.
I went to an er and sent a picture to my urologist back home in the USA
ER doctor said I don’t know, and it does not look like Herpes
The urologist said it could be balanitis, so they just said to wash and not apply anything.
      Day 9
I went to an Std center, and the doctor saw me and said that it did not look like Herpes
      Day 10
it looks better. I am applying some vaseline and get the red away.
On day 11 used powder and coconut oil and well got even redder
On day 12 just saw a urologist and took a culture (just rubbed the head of my Penis)
He said it does not look like Herpes but prescribed another antibiotic ointment
      Should I use it?
I have tested negative for both Herpes for the past ten years in IGG and have no symptoms.
My question is if I was a true negative, wouldn’t I have seen stronger symptoms.
Such as fever and blisters like in the pictures?
One of the doctors would have caught it, right? (GP,GP, Dermatologist and URologist)
Could Herpes be so mild, even if it’s a primary one, and be confusing to four doctors?
I am on day 12 and I feel the irritation in my penis.
I am planning to get tested for herpes at 3,6 10 weeks.
      Following questions
      1. IF I test negative for both Igg at 10 weeks should I drop it?
      2. Can an outbreak start at day 12.5?
      3. If I was to do a western blot with you, what would the accuracy be for 7 weeks? Do you have a contact in Germany that draws the blood?
      4. What do you think of the situation?
      5. If it was to be something with yeast, I am allergic to this medication. What could i use?
      Thanks for all your help!

      1. IF I test negative for both Igg at 10 weeks should I drop it?
      Yes
      2. Can an outbreak start at day 12.5?
that would be very late to get a first outbreak. Normally we would see a symptom within the first 2-10 days after infection
      3. If I was to do a western blot with you, what would the accuracy be for 7 weeks?
Do you have a contact in Germany that draws the blood?
Sorry, I don’t know the accuracy of a western blot at 7 weeks and I have no one that I know of in Germany that could do that.

HOnestly, your symptoms sound not at all like herpes to me.

      5. If it was to be something with yeast, I am allergic to this medication. What could i use?
You could ask your provider for an oral form of yeast medication

      Hi Terri

I send a message to your general questions regarding my blocked account. Hence I had another and still had to follow ups that would like to use. I hope this is okey. Regarding the symptoms I have some questions:
At day 6 of unprotected sex I developed a rash in the shaftin the penis after a gp on day 5 saw me and said their was nothing to worry and gave me a prevente shot for gono/chlam
Day 7 GP at er said it was irritated but not herpes
Day 9 GP at std clinic said was not herpes
Day 12 urologist took a culture and said it did not look like like herpes
Day 30 showed my urologist the pictures and he said it did not look like herpes and my penis does not have any scarring
Questions: took a 4 week specific igg and a mixed 1,2 igg at six weeks and both have been negative. Values of the mixed where <.5 and cutoff is at .9
1 Do you think it could be herpes ?
      2. Could an atypical herpes break presente itself as a rash and then just leaves new skin like two pink spots( they could have been there all my life to) no fever or swollen lymph nodes
      3. Would you have expected a positive result by 6 weeks?
      4. I scheduled a test for 7 and 10 weeks one in the USA and my final one in Germany both igg? You think this are necessary?
      5. Could a balanitis present a just reddening?
      6. Even if it’s a mild outbreak herpes could still be recognized?
      7. What should you I do ?
      Thanks in advance

1 Do you think it could be herpes ?
I doubt that this is herpes
      2. Could an atypical herpes break presente itself as a rash and then just leaves new skin like two pink spots( they could have been there all my life to) no fever or swollen lymph nodes
That is possible but still unlikely to be herpes

      3. Would you have expected a positive result by 6 weeks?
By six weeks, 705 of those who are going to be positive by IgG will be positive.

      4. I scheduled a test for 7 and 10 weeks one in the USA and my final one in Germany both igg? You think this are necessary?
      Yes

      5. Could a balanitis present a just reddening?
      Yes

      6. Even if it’s a mild outbreak herpes could still be recognized
I could be but might not be.

      7. What should you I do ?
I think you could do another test at 10-12 weeks and if negative, decide to let it go.

      Hi Terri,

I hope you’re doing well regarding Covid.
This will be my final post on the subscription, and if anything changes, I will add questions.
After contact, this was my Igg results
      Four weeks
      HSV 1 IGG <.10 Negative
      HSV 2 IGG .15 Negative

      Seven Weeks
      HSV 1 IGG <.10 Negative
      HSV 2 IGG .14 Negative
      HSV 1/2 IGM .30 Negative

I will test in 3 weeks, making it 10 to get a final answer. Just have some new questions and wanted to see your opinion on this further info.
Four doctors saw me within days 5-12 after contact, and none of them suggested herpes.
Two urologists in the USA saw the pictures, and both said it does not look like herpes.

I have never had symptoms of herpes and tested negative on both Iggs since I was 17 and currently, I am 28.

      Question 1
If I was. a true negative, I would have shown stronger symptoms?
      2. The fact that the numbers have not changed is a good sign?
      3. Blisters in the penis for example under the head in the shaft would have blistered like in the pictures?
      4. If HSV 1 antibodies are present do the rules of 6 weeks 70% count of people that would show HSV 2 symptoms?
      5. Could the prevent antibiotics for Chlam and Gono cause balanitis?
      6. Red dots on the head and red foreskin that goes away in 3 days resemble balanitis?
      7. I am really healthy and exercise, and take vitamins so usually a healthy immune system builds antibodies faster?
      8. I tested negative for 7 weeks for the following HIV, Syphilis, HEp b&C, Chlam, and Gono are those conclusive?

I hope you’re doing better and staying healthy. I will still test at the 10-week mark. If I come out negative for both I will drop it. Thanks for all your help.

      Kind regards,

If I was. a true negative, I would have shown stronger symptoms?
Many people who are truly negative for HSV 1 and 2 and acquire a new infection have more dramatic symptoms, yes
      2. The fact that the numbers have not changed is a good sign?
      Yes
      3. Blisters in the penis for example under the head in the shaft would have blistered like in the pictures?
Blisters anywhere on the shaft is the most common presentation
      4. If HSV 1 antibodies are present do the rules of 6 weeks 70% count of people that would show HSV 2 symptoms?
70% of those infected with HSV 2 with or without symptoms will be positive on the IgG test at 6 weeks out from the encoutner
      5. Could the prevent antibiotics for Chlam and Gono cause balanitis?
well, sometimes antibiotics can cause a fungal infection which is the most common cause of balanitis so yes
      6. Red dots on the head and red foreskin that goes away in 3 days resemble balanitis?
      Maybe
      7. I am really healthy and exercise, and take vitamins so usually a healthy immune system builds antibodies faster?
      we don’t know that
      8. I tested negative for 7 weeks for the following HIV, Syphilis, HEp b&C, Chlam, and Gono are those conclusive?
      Yes
