I went to parlor on oct 18 and had a shower, full body massage, hand genital contact from both of us, kissing on breast and that was it.She used a lotion to do it.

I took a western blot test on Jan 18 and came back positive now for both 1 and 2.I was negative for 2 in June, and positive now after this. The last sexual contact was in last year January, where I had cold sores later on. I dont even know why I spent money to tell you this, since nothing can be done at this point. I regret very much what I did, and I felt horrible that night.

Well, that is very unusual case.
You’ve been a low positive from the beginning and I’m wondering if perhaps you did contract HSV 2 at your January contact and it just hadn’t shown up in the June blood test. I don’t believe it was a western blot in June, was it? Did you take antiviral medicine when you got the cold sores in June?

You are right, there is nothing to do about it now but I still don’t see anything in the massage that would elicit HSV 2 infection. The pictures that you sent me before – when were those taken?

Those pictures were taken a week after encounter in October. I don’t believe in life anymore, since to me it looks like I touch anyone and I will be infected. I don’t know if I caught this in January but I didn’t show anything down there. Are there people who can be a virgin and have both 1 and 2?

Did you have genital to genital rubbing at all at the massage parlor?
Genital to genital rubbing can transmit herpes so your question about virgins having HSV 1 and 2 is a little unclear because this may not apply. Do you see what I mean?
You will not transmit HSV 2 to social contacts by touching. I can see why you are a bit taken aback as am I by your diagnosis.
How did you get your western blot?

There was no genital to genital rubbing as far as I remember. I was showered full even before the hand genital contact was done. I asked my doctor for westecblot, they sent the kit and I got the results on paper that days evidence of past 1 and 2 infection.

I ask about virgin is what if someone would be having painful sores down there when they are young, is that 1 or 2? It doesn’t matter, I am wasting your time and there isn’t any point of this conversation.

Well, someone could acquire HSV 2 at birth from an infected mother or through sexual molestation. Is that what you are asking?

Well the thing is have you had or heard any virgin of having hsv 1 or 2(or both together)? I ask because I do not want to mention to a relationship that I acquired them from a spa, I would rather tell them that I had them since birth or when I was a virgin. Is that possible? This is my last question, and I feel horrible for what happened. People say its fine but really it’s not.

No, I have never heard of such a thing.
And since I really don’t think that’s what happened here, I think you can honestly say you acquired this from a sexual relationship. I must say that anyone who believe you are a virgin or that you got both at birth would be have to have lived in a bubble somewhere in terms of STD facts.
I’m not saying it’s fine, I’m saying that lots and lots of people live full and complete lives with HSV 1 and HSV 2. I think you need a little time to think about this and process it all.

I dont know if this is the last question (I am pretty sure) but then if I caught from January, I dont understand why nothing showed up in June..if no one caught hsv 2 and I caught from that parlor, what happened? I feel disgusted and lonely, and feel like life is extremely unfair for what happened. There was no oral contact and not sexual contact and yet I still caught it and I am positive for 1 and 2..I have not had any outbreaks down those pictures I posted.

Even if it is mild hsv 2 it will never be healed.

Yes you have used up all of your questions.
Of the two options, having caught this in January and for some reason the lab test didn’t pick it up or it wasn’t the right test or the second, you caught it from this contact at the massage parlor, the first makes far more sense.
We’ve talked about this as much as we can.
If you want to become a regular phone patient of our clinic, we would be happy to review both lab results for you, the one from June and the western blot from recently. We could also confirm with the University that the result is indeed correct. In your case, that might be helpful for you.
