today I had a burning feeling on my index finger. After I check I saw a small white patch on it. Lately I have been feeling neurologia on my arm and hand too. Its like I burned my skin and look like fluid inside also tingling around finger and hand. With this patch I believe I transmit my herpes type 2 to my finger or I got from masturbation before my genital 🙁 ( I tested swab and bloom for my genital blister pcr test)
I kindly attached my hands picture below,I also have couples question;
1- If this whitlow, do I shed on my not blister side of the finger? Or only this spot will sheds the virus?2- Without whitlow outbreak will I shed like genital herpes? Asyptomatic (spelling could be wrong, sorry) ?? I am curious about between outbreaks?
3- If I change my baby diaper with this hand coud I transmit? With or without outbreaks? Its not on my finger tip so still my all finger or hand are contagious?
4-If I hold hand or masturubate to my fiance (he is negative) could I gave this to him like this?
5- Can I touch other people during outbreak but not with the blister part of my hand?
I know its sound paranoid and also its hard to diagnose over her but I am having so much anxiety and panic attacks right now

That looks absolutely nothing like herpetic whitlow, trust me. I’ve seen a lot and it is far more dramatic and truly blisters. Also, once you have well established HSV 2 in the genital area it would be extremely unlikely to get the virus in a new location on your body. How long have you had genital HSV 2 and how were you diagnosed?

Its been more than 2 years but I remember that I touched my ex boyfriend’s blister (unknowingly). I wasnt infected then. I tried to squezed it because we thought it was ingrown hair. I have tested via swab and PCR test for blood too. Neg for 1 but positive for type 2. I know its unlikely to get virus but what if I transmit whitlow first? It doesnt seem like whitlow on the pictures but burning feeling and tingling around hand and finger makes me anxious 🙁
If this isnt herpes I would be very happy but I am very curious about my above question about whitlow. I feel like its still a risk for me or my fiance 🙁- This reply was modified 8 years, 4 months ago by Polly. Reason: Added

The virus is only shed during outbreaks2- Without whitlow outbreak will I shed like genital herpes? Asyptomatic (spelling could be wrong, sorry) ?? I am curious about between outbreaks?
no
3- If I change my baby diaper with this hand coud I transmit? With or without outbreaks? Its not on my finger tip so still my all finger or hand are contagious?
only the part of the hand with the blister is contagious, but I would cover any active blisters
4-If I hold hand or masturubate to my fiance (he is negative) could I gave this to him like this?
Yes, but again, covering the blisters would be best to avoid the chances of this
5- Can I touch other people during outbreak but not with the blister part of my hand?
Yes
I seriously doubt that you have whitlow! These worries are likely not necessary. This white area on your hand looks nothing at all like whitlow.

Thank you for your time. I am more relief now. Its still there but the burning feelling almost stopped. I have one last question about internal outbreaks. I got my first outbreak around clitoris and second too. But the rest always came around my vaginal opening more mild like 1-2 blisters and heals in a week. (Painful and itchy) last week while having sex I got an intense pain inside and we stopped. After we try again it was painful but subsided. My fiance is asking me that could be outbreak inside vagina? But I didnt have any other sypmtoms or discomfort before and after. Would it be possible without having any syptoms and getting internal outbreak?
Last question, I love riding bicycles and I wear silicone jel cover leggings also speacial saddle but still bikes brings an outbreak 🙁 do you have any suggestions to stop friction for herpes? Like creams, oils etc… -

It is possible to have an outbreak internally, yes, but less likely for that to happen. Is the pain happening when you partner’s penis is deep inside and might be bumping into your cervix? That is unlikely to be herpes if that is the pain you are having.
The bike outbreak thing happens to others as well, unfortunately. The friction is just a source of irritation for some people and that irritation triggers an outbreak. I don’t know if you posted this or not – are you taking daily antiviral therapy, like acyclovir?
