So i havent been tested for either virus yet bc i havent had any outbreaks that ive known about. Ive just had some bad symptoms that lasted forever so ive been stuck on google trying to diagnose myself until my doctor appt next week. I started with vaginal burning but no sores. It did not burn when i used the washroom. Just felt like the ouside of my vagina was really warm. Was tested for typical stds and infections(gohnorrhea, chlamydia, bv, yeast). All were negative. My body continued with burning sensations all over, from tingling in my head to the bottoms of my feet burning.and tingling everywhere in between. My eyes burned. I get a bad cramp in lower right gut area maybe once a day (not sure if this is where my ovary is). All of this seems to be happening for atleast the past month if not longer. Today my thumb is throbbing and red, no blisters yet. I feel like this must be herpes whitlow. I have a small pimple near my side of my nose that ive been messing with. Ive also had what i was hoping and thought was a canker sore inside my bottom lip and on the back of my throat. What are your thoughts??
If i ever did have an outbreak it was in the crease between my leg and my vagina about 6 months ago. I thought it was just my underwear irritating my skin and maybe being too tight. I never got a close look at it but it was kinda painful. Does this sound right??

Your symptoms are just all over the place and you have jumped to big conclusions here! I’m glad you are going to be seen and hopefully be tested to see what’s going on. Herpes does not cause burning all over you body as you describe. What you need to be looking for are sores in the genital area and on the edge of the lip. The area where the pain was is likely underwear rubbing as you suspected. I just have no reason to believe that herpes is causing all of this. It’s best if you get off the internet, you are coming to conclusions that are probably not accurate.

Thank you. Its more of a slight tingling sensation on different parts of my body at different times. Its not constant. Ive been reading about alot of ppl having the virus and having these types of symptoms but never getting the outbreak. Then when i woke up with the painful thumb today i thought for sure this was the real sign.

So the pains in my buttocks and legs shouldnt concern me or doesnt raise a flag for herpes along with all the other symptoms?

I put my timeline together. I slept with my ex 7 weeks ago. 4 weeks later i went to the doctor with vaginal discomfort. We didnt test for hsv but everything else was negative. After that symptoms got worse with buttock and leg pain, burning feet and tingling on upper part of body, but the vaginal burning lessened. Still getting the tingling all over. Have 2 canker type sores in my mouth for the past week. This morning woke up with the sore and painful thumb but no blisters yet. I am hoping that since its been 7 weeks without blisters that ill be negative but everything seems to point to positive now. Does this change your opinion of my condition?

No, not really, it doesn’t. The other thing is if you acquired herpes from your ex-partner seven weeks ago and only four weeks ago did you develop symptoms, that’s really out of the range of normal timing for new herpes symptoms due to a new herpes infection. You could test now and if you were negative, there is a 70% chance it would stay that way when you did a final test at 12 weeks.
On this forum and in person with my practice a lot of people complain about tingling and nerve sensation but I would say that 90 to 95% of those people, when they do test with a good test, turned out to be negative rather than positive. Certainly if they have sores accompanying the tingling in nerve sensation that’s a different story. But those tingling sensations alone don’t give me a lot of concern. It’s possible that you have herpes from before but without testing, it’s really not possible to know. You mentioned being tested for other STI’s but it didn’t look to me like you have been tested for herpes.
