Thank you for this forum. I am beyond depressed and filled with anxiety.
Exposure I had unprotected oral for roughly 3 mins and protected vaginal sex for roughly 4 min. Status of CSW unknown
It has been 13 days since my exposure.
On day three I developed an urge to urinate frequently. Also the tip of my urethra had mild discomfort. Both these symptoms are persist throughout the day and I still have them.
Day 5 I went to a clinic. They did a urine dip test. Everything came back good. No wbc in urine. They also checked for gono and chlamydia and trich. All came back negative. I believe it was negative for nitrites? Or maybe the word is nitrates.
I was given a shot in the rear end. 4 pills to be taken in a day and a week worths of doxy twice a day.
My symptoms have not improved one bit. Yesterday I visited a urologist. He looked at my genitalia and didn’t notice anything that was off. He a ordered a urine text in a week in which I’ll have to drink 32 ounces of water one hour prior to the test.
The pain in my urethra feels like I have to pee. I get some light comfort after peeing. Short lived. It does not generally hurt to pee
1. Does this sound like herpes urethritis? Would my urine dip test indicate wbc if I was fighting a herpes infection?
2. I have no sore or ulcers that are visible. No fever. No aches or pain. What are my chances of acquiring herpes urethritis if I have previously had cold sores when I was younger.
3. If this not Herpetic urethritis, what can it be if there is no infection indicated on the dip stick? And the antibiotics provided no relief?
I have never been diagnosed for hsv2 and not sure what to do. I’m in a committed relationship and thought is driving me insane that I can possibly pass this to my partner.

It sounds nothing like herpes to me. If you had herpes urethritis, it would hurt a lot to pee and it wouldn’t continue for a longer duration and would more likely be accompanied by sores in the genital area.2. Really unlikely3. If this not Herpetic urethritis, what can it be if there is no infection indicated on the dip stick? And the antibiotics provided no relief?
I’m not sure what it could be but you are on the right track by conferring with a urologist.Terri
