I have had HSV 1 my entire life (36yrs).
A couple years ago I received protected oral sex from a sex worker (plastic covering…not a condom)
I have since tested and am still only positive for HSV-1. I have not had any genital symptoms. Am I likely to have gotten new hsv-1 on my genitals form this encounter?
It doesn’t work that way. If you have oral HSV 1, you are extremely unlikely to get HSV 1 genitally. In addition, the plastic barrier was very effective. Take this off your worry list.

Thank you. Some follow up.
1. If I was extremely unlucky and did get ghsv1 this way. Would I know by now? I have never had any symptoms, but have had oral outbreaks since. Is there a way to test if I have never had any symptoms?
2. How extremely unlikely?
I also believe that she touch my anus (no insertion just rubbing with hand/fingers). Is this a risk?
Between having a barrier over your penis and having a history of HSV 1 already, I see no chance that you acquired HSV 1 genitally.
Touching your anus does not present any risk whatsoever.
