Hello Terri I recently tested positive for hsv1 and hsv2 with lab Corp but I wonder about the possibility of a false positive with the test as I have never had any symptoms or outbreaks that I am aware of and it’s been 10 months since exposure.
On December 1 I tested 1.87 on a LGG test for hsv-1 and 2.15 LGG for hsv-2 with a negative supplemental. I immediately became super paranoid and went and tested again at the same place on the 5th and tested positive again for hsv1 with 1.79 LgG and hsv2 was 2.08 with a negative supplemental again.
Do you think it’s possible that maybe it’s false positives on these tests? I’d like to do a western blot test but the any level test now facility near me and my local doctors won’t draw the blood for me to have it done by the western blot. Also is there any chance if I do have hsv of me spreading it to my eyes or other parts of my body. My left eye had been slight red at times but hurting me for the past week and now I’m concerned that maybe I have infected myself there.
Thank you
The reason I ask if it could be transferred to my eye is because this past week my eye has been like burning and kinda hurts but it doesn’t seem red or swelling or anything like that but now I’m paranoid that maybe I transferred it to my eye.
Hey Terri did you get a chance to see my message?
Thanks
