HSV-2 testing with Valtrex

hi- I am wondering if someone who is currently taking Valtrex and then gets an igG (or other test) for
Hsv-2, will they test positive for hsv-2? can it skew or lessen the test results?

My partner is currently taking valtrax (says it is for hsv-1 only) and i want to get tested to make sure. So we are going to get tested for HSV-2 together…………….if my partner has hsv-2 will it show on the index?

Someone who is taking Valtrex COULD get a false negative on an antibody test IF they begin taking with a new infection and continue it daily. Is your partner willing to discuss this with you?
