I got tested a long time ago. Kissed my ex and started getting fever and hives on our 2nd time having sex if I remember correctly.
Ever since then I feel like my mouth burns sometimes. I once got drool on a finger of mine and it got swollen when I woke up. Since then I have been very careful to wipe up any saliva on my face and lips. I seem to be allergic to everything. Saliva, seven, latex. Like I can’t have anyone kiss me on the mouth or even the top of my head without going into hives and having wheels on my face.
I now met a guy and I am worried about passing hsv 1 to him via kissing or oral.
I would like to know if this is a common HSV 1 symptom. Perhaps I just have a saliva allergy, burning mouth syndrome?
I know most of the population has HSV 1, but is 20 considered high? I haven’t been tested lately. Will go in for a test before I even kiss this person. Afraid of the talk.
I forgot, I have never had a mouth break out except once in the 7 years I dated the ex. Not sure if it was due to herpes or a saliva allergy. Saliva allergies do exist apparently.
What of he also has HSV1? I know we both want to do oral sex and such. Like if he has IGG 5 and I have IGG 20 I don’t want to cause his to go up. Or does it matter what the number it is. I assume the higher the number the more of it you have.
The mouth break out was like in the corners and looked like my lips getting chapped and cracking in the corners.
Are you saying that he has a positive IgG test for HSV 1 with an index value of >5? (check for the “>” sign on his results ) and you have an index value of 20? If that is true, your are both infected with HSV 1 and will not pass the virus back and forth between you, if that is what you are asking me,.
