Hi Terri,
So 2 days ago I noticed a cold sore on my lip, (I’ve had them since I was a child) my girlfriend and I had sex and stupidly kissed a lot and she performed oral on me and used saliva on herself too whilst doing intercourse, she claims she’s never had a cold sore though, is it a high chance she will have hsv1 genitally now? I never performed oral on her just to add.

I think it is unlikely that she would acquire HSV 1 from this description of activities. Has she actually been tested to know that she doesn’t have HSV 1 already?
