I am tested annually for all std’s including Hsv1 & Hsv2 antibody IgG thru Labcorp.
Pre existing HSV1 since 2013.
I’m trying to confirm if I am a true positive for asymptomatic hsv2 and rule out who gave it to me.Try to make it as simple and direct as possible with the dates of exposure to both & ONLY partners from 2015 to 2018. I DO ANNUAL PREVENTITIVE HSV 1&2 IgG tests, been pre existing to hsv1 since 2013 NEVER having a cold sore in my life. Nor any genital symptoms other than 3 Bacterial Vag GARDNERELLA infections during my relationship with Partner 2. Positive BV 6/15/17 10/12/17 1/26/18
PARTNER 1
In a monogamous relationship unprotected sex from July 2015 to 2017,last 3 exposures with PARTNER 1
2/1/17 2/15/17 3/22/17
My concern is not hsv1,or genital hsv1 from this partner.as we are both hsv1 positive.Partner 2
In a momagamous relationship unprotected sex from 2/6/17 last exposure 3/16/18. Tested positive for hsv2 ab 4/16/18here are all my historical results hsv1 hsv2 specific igg ab
PARTNER 1 I was in a monogamous relationship with (or so I thought) & having unprotected sex.
FIRST unprotected exposure 2/6/17
FINAL & LAST EXPOSURE 3/16/18
Annual historical hsv1 & hsv2 Igg ab test results thru labcorp as follows:

6/19/14 hsv1 45.10 hsv2 0.91
3/23/15 hsv1 62.20 hsv2 0.91
3/29/16 hsv1 5 quest hsv2 0.90
4/11/17 hsv1 57.10 hsv2 0.91
4/16/18 hsv1 40.20 sample 1 hsv2 1.29 32 days last exposure
4/18/18 hsv1 44.80 sample 2 hsv2 1.25 34 days last exposure

I answered this in a previous post – did you post more than once? Will answer again. I think this is likely a false positive and you should get results soon from UW.
Who ordered the test for you? You should check with them to see if the results are in this morning. It can be as short as a week or as long as three weeks to get results.Terri

this is my first follow up question or statement rather
Here is my upsetting update
I test for all stds every year at my annual well check INCLUDING HSV1 & HSV2 IgG AB thru Labcorp as a preventative measure to rule out stds. Where I screwed up is trusting the man I was with was honest & knew his sexual history & was a responsible adult. That’s NOT the case unfortunately. He denies he is infected, ive never seen a symptom on him or me, now I have asymptomatic Hsv2 thanks to the scumbag. He refuses to get tested or show me ANY HISTORY of his blood work to back his claims (lies) he is clean. I ended this relationship for many reasons incl cheating, on 2/5/18. I have NO other reason or historical med recs to rule out my previous partner from 2014 thru Jan 2017, as I am tested annually & historically clean other than hsv1 which I knew since 2013 I was Pre existing hsv1 & ASYMPTOMATIC never had a cold sore OR A GENITAL SYMPTOM
ALL TESTS DONE ANNUALLY THRU LABCORP
1 partner since Feb 2017. last exposure 3/16/18 He is the one who infected me based on the timeline & my history.
I tested Neg igg ab for hsv2 on 4/11/17
I tested Pos igg ab for hsv2 4/16/18 *1.29
2nd blood sample 4/18/18 result *1.25
2nd blood sample used for confirmatory reflex. Result *1.26
Waited 6 weeks from last exposure 3/16/18, tested again, results *1.77
Waited a total of 12 wks from last exposure on 3/16/18, & on 6/11/18 I sent my blood sample to University of Washington for the WESTERN BLOT & RESULTS CAME BACK POSITIVE FOR hsv1 & HSV2.
Needless to say, I am DEVASTATED. I cant wrap my mind around having such LOW numbers, NO SYMPTOMS, & now I have to live with HSV2 & this parasite of a Man inside of me as a reminder for the rest of my life. Its DEVASTATING, especially when the person I know with 99.9% certainty refuses to test & denies he has any STDs & is walking around living life & infecting others. I called UW about my POS result hoping it was wrong due to lo range & no symptoms.I have NO HOPE -

I’m sorry that your blot was positive – I know you are very upset about this.
If you have tested negative right along, it does seem logical to assume that you acquired HSV from this person. Not HSV 1 as you describe in your timeline. So there is not much you can do at this point except possibly pursue legal action here but you would have to prove that he knew he had this to make a case. I think a better strategy is to try to move on from where you are now and begin making the emotional adjustment to having genital herpes. I know this won’t be easy but perhaps you could work with a cognitive behavioral therapist to try to see this differently. It has worked well for many people who feel like all hope is lost of a happy and rewarding life.Terri
