I have genital HSV2. Is it possible for me to get HSV2 orally? I was told that the chances of me getting it orally were very slim since the virus entered my body vaginally. My boyfriend is not infected and he doesn’t always use a condom. I take Valtrex daily. I just want to make sure if he does contract genital HSV2 that I can’t contract HSV2 orally if I perform oral sex.

Once you have HSV 2 genitally, it is extremely unlikely that you will subsequently acquire it orally.
