      Hello Terri

      I hope you are well.

      I have a question about HSV2 testing. I was recently tested for HSV2 is came back positive 2.03. An igg test by Quest labs.

      I have always tested positive for HSV1 since 2015 and never tested positive for HSV2. In 2021 I tested negative for HSV2 on an IGG test. I also have not been sexually active since that test in 2015.

      Is it safe to say this is a false positive?

      Sorry could not reply sooner was having trouble logging in. Thank you for your reply! I plan on getting tested again at labcorp instead of quest labs.
