Hi Terri I’m hoping to get your thoughts on my situation as the WB is not an option for me for the time being.
I had a general panel back in Jan of 2019 that had a HSV2 igg score of 1.13 and a negative supplemental. My Dr said I had herpes so I have been living my life that way and informing partners over the years.
I recently retested and had a HSV2 igg 1.37 score with another negative supplemental.
Out of the 8 long term partners (6mon-1year, some with condoms and some without) I have since 2019 had none have tested positive. I also have never had anything that resembles a normal herpes outbreak.
As far as I can tell the negative supplemental means I don’t have herpes. Is that the correct assumption?
What are the odds that I actually have it?
Am I safe to live my life an not worry about spreading something I don’t have?
Thanks for your time!
-Zack
That is actually excellent agreement between a negative supplemental and a negative western blot. I think it is VERY unlikely that you have HSV 2.
