› Forums › Herpes Questions › HSV2 positive – advice please
Hello Terri,
a month ago I did a STI routine test that included herpes IGG test too. I got the message I tested positive for HSV1 and HSV2. I have had HSV1 since I was a child and 3 moths ago I had a cold sore on my lip. However, I never had any symptoms that could relate to HSV2.
I asked the doctor to give me the index values for HSV2 and he said that this test did not provide the index values. He also did not know the type/name of the test that was used.
He said it was a rapid test. That is all the information I got and also a recommendation to proceed as normal, and not to do a Western Blot test.
I live in Ireland and I was wondering if you could help me get the Western Blot done given the fact I am not in the States.
Thank you for your time and understanding.
Regards,
Zrinka
yes, I can help you with the blot. We have a woman in London who is able to draw the blood and advise on shipping, if you want to do that. We would need to have a video consult first but we do this quite often without an issue if you want to do it
Terri
Perfect. London is very doable for me. When booking a video consult there are only USA states listed. I cannot see International option. This makes it impossible for me to book a video consult through evisit.
You need to make up a US address and phone to do the consult with me.
