Hello,
I have been HSV2 positive for 18 years. I have read a few studies that said HSV2 appeared to be protective against HSV1 (although the opposite is not true). I have never had a cold sore or any kind of oral herpes. Since I have HSV2 antibodies is there a good chance I am really protected from acquiring HSV1?
Thank you.
correct.
Did you have a swab test as a diagnostic or an antibody test?
Terri
