I received a 11.5Igg test in February from quest diag of this year with two OB’s i assume prior to the test which would occur as 2 centimeter size fluid filled blister on both ob’s that i would pop and no scab or sore would occur after that and my penis would look normal again. Which i found abnormal considering most people scab or sore after blisters. Ive never experienced pain with them or discomfort. Is this normal? Could these not be hsv2 just heat blisters, clogged pores etc. I am athlete and always out in the sun and sweating. My wife who ive been with for the past 5 years toke a HSV 1&2 test and came back negative. She has never had an outbreak. But of us has been in a committed relationship. Please give me advice.
Hi Terri. Requesting your response.
Normally, herpes lesions are at least tender. But an index value of 11.5 is likely to confirm with better testing. You could either do the western blot for confirmation OR you could have the blister swab tested for herpes the next time it shows up. In either case, if it is herpes, it would seem that you aren’t shedding virus very often since your wife tests negative.
