I’ve been diagnosed HSV2 positive for about 10 years now. My husband went down on me this morning and we had sex and I went to the bathroom after and realized a red raised bump in the area I will sometimes breakout and now a few hours later there’s a few bumps and it’s itchy.. def an outbreak.. I could die. Hoping he doesn’t get it all over his face. Hoping he’s already contracted it at some point in our relationship and is asymptomatic.. it’s on the top left of my outer labia – about an inch away from my clitoris. It would have touched maybe his nose or upper cheek?

If my kids touch his face and he contracted it can they get it? Can he spread it if he isn’t showing symptoms yet by touching his face ?

Has he ever been tested to know if he is positive or not? Maybe he should be if he hasn’t been so you both know his status.

He may have come in contact with the virus by giving you oral sex, but that doesn’t insure that he will get it orally. If he does, he could get what looks like a cold sore on his lip but it is very unlikely that he will get it all over his face. If he gets a sore on his lip or face, I recommend having it swab tested for herpes.

If he has not sores and the kids touch his face, they won’t get it. If he has a sore on his face or lip, he should simply avoid kissing the kids on their face.
